Practice Manager & Aesthetic Practitioner
A Registered General Nurse since 2003, Nicola brings hospital, clinical-management and aesthetic-practice experience to the clinic. Her approach is practical, reassuring and focused on subtle, appropriate results.
For prescription-led decisions, complex facial assessment, medical context or when a doctor’s starting view is most appropriate.
For suitable nurse-led consultations, ongoing clinical plans and treatment routes that benefit from nursing assessment.
For suitable practitioner-led skin, light, laser, facial and body concerns within the practitioner’s trained scope.
You do not need to diagnose yourself. The booking route is a starting point; the clinic confirms suitability and may guide you to a different clinician before treatment.
Choose a free consultation starting point. Your £50 booking deposit secures the appointment, and the clinic can guide the clinician route before treatment.
Dr Eddie Shaffu combines General Practice with postgraduate training in skin ageing and aesthetic medicine. He leads Dr Sknn’s consultation-first approach: understanding the concern, checking medical and treatment context, discussing suitability, and explaining realistic routes before a treatment decision is made.
His focus is a proportionate, medically considered plan with clear pricing, recovery discussion and natural-result expectations. A consultation is an assessment and planning step; it does not assume that a particular treatment will be suitable.
Nicola qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2003 and began her career in NHS Scotland, with a focus in General Surgery including upper gastrointestinal and hepatic surgery.
She later held clinical-management roles including Matron, Head of Clinical Services and Registered Manager within surgical hospitals and women’s clinics across the North West and Midlands.
At Dr Sknn, Nicola combines practice management with aesthetic-practitioner experience across suitable skin, light, laser, facial and body routes. Her experience includes CO2 fractional laser, HydraFacial, medical-grade IPL, targeted lifting, LED and non-surgical body treatments. Suitability and the appropriate clinician are always confirmed before treatment.
Choose a starting route. The clinic can guide you to a different clinician if your concern needs another level of assessment.
Clear before you continue: the consultation fee is £0 for every clinician route. The £50 payment secures the kiosk booking.
